The Name Is the Promise

Fide + well.
Trust, kept well.

Fidewell is built on fides, the Latin root for trust, faith, and fidelity. The same root that gives us fiduciary: one who is trusted, and who is bound to be worthy of it. Employers are trusted twice over: with their people's health and with the money that funds it. The name is our promise about how that trust will be handled.

Our Anchor

“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

1 Corinthians 4:2

Why We Exist

Trust is the most under-managed asset in American healthcare.

Fidewell exists to make the trust placed in employers well-placed and well-kept: trust from their people, their boards, and the law. Our mission is to move mid-market employers from passive payers to active fiduciaries: through transparent advice, a disciplined multi-year process, and health plans that stand up to scrutiny.

Glenn Fisher, founder of Fidewell

The Founder

Glenn Fisher has spent his career on the employer's side of the table.

A serial entrepreneur and the author of Fiduciary Ally, Glenn has spent decades inside the C-Suite, frustrated with the rising cost and lack of control. He uses employers' own data to expose where plan dollars actually go, helping leaders move from a 12-month reactive cycle to a multi-year path of measurable control.

He founded Fidewell for the CEOs, CFOs, and HR leaders who are done with the status quo: one flat, fully disclosed advisory fee, a published method, and a standing rule that cost control never comes out of an employee's care.

How We Operate

Five values, written as behaviors.

Radical transparency

Every dollar of our compensation is disclosed in writing, before we're asked, and we never recommend what we can't explain in plain language.

Fiduciary courage

We say the hard thing: to vendors who stall, to incumbents who hide, and to clients when the data disagrees with what they hoped.

Evidence over narrative

Claims data beats sales decks. We verify rather than trust, benchmark rather than assume, and put numbers on everything, including our own performance.

Long stewardship

We measure in years, not renewals. Plans are built to compound, and we're accountable for how it ends, not how it starts.

People at the center

We focus cost control on waste, spread pricing, and hidden fees, so savings don't have to come from the care your people count on. A plan that saves money by failing people has failed the fiduciary test.

Fiduciary Ally: A CEO's Guide to Cutting Health Plan Costs

The Book

Fiduciary Ally: the playbook behind the firm.

You don't sponsor a health plan. You're liable for one. Fiduciary Ally is the executive playbook for cutting health plan costs, reducing risk, and taking control of employee benefits. Its seven chapters shift you from passive payer to active fiduciary.

Our entire method is published. Read it before you ever meet us. That's exactly how a trusted advisor would want it.

The Fidewell Manifesto

We believe what you fund should answer to you.

We believe a health plan is a promise, made with company money and kept in people's lives, and that promises deserve better than a black box.

We believe renewal is not a strategy. That a 9% increase is not an explanation. That “proprietary” is not a reason your own data stays hidden from you.

We believe the second-largest expense on the P&L deserves the same rigor as the first: audited, benchmarked, negotiated, and owned.

We believe transparency is not a feature. It is the whole point. So we disclose every dollar we make before you ask, and we put our advice in writing where scrutiny can find it.

We believe control is a journey, year one for some and year five for others, and that the pace belongs to you.

And we believe in the old word buried in our name: fides. Trust. The thing employers are given by every family on the plan, and the thing this firm exists to keep.

Fidewell. Trust, kept well.
